I recently bought a Blackberry Pearl from someone. I tried activating it online and it says the account is suspended. I talked to a customer rep, and she told me that the person who had this phone before owes money on it and I can't activate it until they pay it off.
Is there any way to start fresh with a new account and phone number, and let the other person deal with the bill?|||Nope, you are out of luck. If they owe money, the ESN for that phone is locked until they take care of the bill. You should try to get your money back.
