Account Suspended!?... how long? :o?

So on my other yahoo account (because of these i made this new one),


I GOT SUSPENDED FROM YAHOO ANSWERS ! ):


they said it was because i was "spamming" someone.


OKAY, so, i answered a question from a girl asking what product works best on acne..


So i knew about this soap you can buy online on many different web sites.


I told her the name, price, a link to a website that had it, a little about it, and how i was with my friend when he bought and how he uses it and it works pretty fast.


ALL I DID WAS ANSWER HER QUESTION, REALLY WELL, AND I GOT BEST ANSWER.


I thought Hmm, i was pretty helpful right? So i posted the same answer on other questions about acne help.


Yep, i got suspended just for helping people out. woohoo.


my question is, HOW LONG AM I GOING TO BE SUSPENDED!?


I first heard the news that i was suspended from yahoo answers about 3 weeks ago id say.


and it still says im suspended... D:





*** when i go to yahoo answers (on the suspended account), it gives me a link that's an email at the bottom to send an email to if i disagree with what happend or anything. well i emidietly sent my story to them on how i was just helping not trying to premote a product and i apoligised. well i never got a reply. :p|||Firstly, your previous account was suspended for spamming. What you did was posted an answer which was a form of advertising, which is already a clear violation of the Community Guidelines.



Secondly, you can forget about appealing the account suspension. You waited too long to challenge it. Upon receiving the suspension notice email, you had only seven days to appeal the suspension. The opportunity has since passed and it's too late to do it. Just let the other account go and deal with the one you got now.



Thirdly, all account suspensions are permanent. Unless you can convince Customer Care the Community Guidelines were erroneously applied to your account during the suspension process, it's gone forever and you'll just have to create a new account.|||Copypasta is lame, but doesn't seem likely to get you banned, just get your messages deleted.





Hold on, "not trying to promote a product" you say? Aha, so you were mentioning a product? Maybe providing a link to it? An affiliate link by chance? (if you don't know what I'm talking about then don't worry about it.)





Obviously if you don't "get" the reason it'll just keep happening until you do. Good luck.|||Unless you appeal immediately and win which is unlikely considering you were accused of spamming then you have lost the account forever. Sorry but that's the rules.|||Making a second account is also a violation and you just announced it.





On the home page click on suggestions. Click on the suggestion box and you can ask a qqquestion to yahoo staff and get an answer.|||Its for life, similar happened to me. Gotta start from scratch with your account your using now.|||Suspended = Banned.





I know This is my second account. You will NOT be getting the other account back|||It may also have been because you had more than one account. Suspension pretty much means you are finished with that YA account although you can continue to use the email address. You can appeal but that is rarely successful, You might be best to forget it and start over again with a new account.Yahoo doesn't seem to play favourites, it doesn't matter if you have been a member for day, a week,a month or years or are a top contributor or at the seventh level, the same rules apply to everyone. It also doesn't seem to matter the number of violations but more the severity or perceived severity of the violations. Yahoo takes a dim view of SPAM, bigotry, pornography , being underage 13, insulting other members,racism, anything that even borders on illegal such as drugs even soft drugs, downloading movies, music programs etc. or links to that kind of stuff Any of that can mean a speedy exit.


it is also a serious violation to have more than one YA account. It is considered to be cheating and If you do you could be suspended

You can appeal through the following link. Just be nice, and don't say any bad words or your account is already done. You can appeal more than once. I think you can appeal twice, but I'm not totally convinced. DON'T waste both of your appeals. Appeal once, and wait a week. If you get nothing, than appeal again. Note: If you appealed twice and you get no message on your e-mail, than your other account is gone, and you'll have to answer on your new one.
